January 3, 1948 - December 29, 2020
Linda Lee Melton, 72, of Alma, Arkansas went to be with her Heavenly Father on December 29, 2020 in Fort Smith.
Linda was born January 3, 1948 in Calexico, California to the late James and Madie Tucker.
Her work ethic was impeccable and she retired from UAMS as a medical records assistant. She was a member of New Bethel Assembly of God Church and was also an excellent baker at several different places. Linda married the love of her life, Charles, on February 1, 1967 in Imperial, California.
She was preceded in death by three brothers Jerry, Jimmy and Larry Tucker.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, three children Rodney Melton (Tina) of Alma, AR, Rhonda Jurgens (Brad) of Ft Smith and Richard Melton of Fort Smith, two sisters Carolyn Ansley of Seattle, Washington and Mary Atkerson of Ft Smith, AR along with nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday January 5, 2021 at Lewis Funeral Chapel 4817 Kelley Hwy in Ft Smith with the Rev. Paul Newton officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Ft Smith. Public viewing will be from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Sunday January 3, 2021 at the funeral home.
