Son of Samuel Slaton and Ida Ruth Linzy McLane. Born in Ozark, Arkansas, married Helen Lucille Garner McLane December 28, 1931. Worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 45 years, and was Telephone Pioneer. Died in Fort Smith June 13, 1973.
