Ms. Thelma J. McBride of Fort Smith(Sebastian County), Arkansas, died June 6, 2008, in Barling(Sebastian County), Arkansas. She was 97 years old. Ms. McBride was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she participated in the Ladies Circle and the XYZ Group, and Ms. McBride was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. McBride was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: A.K. McBride; a son: Alston Kelly McBride Jr.; and a brother: Leslie Wilson.
She is survived by one daughter: Betty Reed and her husband: Gene Paul, of Alma, Arkansas; one son: Kem McBride and his wife: Susan, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 4 wonderful grandchildren and 10 precious great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at 11:00a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church.
