Dr. James Henry Mason, 81, of Fort Smith, Arkansas died Friday, November 25, 2005, in Fort Smith. He was a retired dentist, a veteran of World War II having served in the Navy for four years and he was a member of the Westark Church of Christ. Dr. Mason attended Harding College in Searcy and Washington University Dental School in St. Louis.

He is survived by his wife Ella of 58 years; two sons and their spouses; and two gradchildren.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel followed by private burial at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She worked for the Civil Service at the Pentagon during World War II. She was a member of West-Ark Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Dr. James H. Mason.
