Will
September 8, 1880 - March 27, 1957
Will was the son of August and Wilhelmine Struck Marks.
Will came to America with his family in 1888, settling in Sumner, Bremer County, Iowa.
Will married Ima E. Anderson on June 24, 1903 in Pierce City, Barry County, Missouri. Will and Ima had two children, June Fay and Edwin Jules.
Will had a shoe shop in Waterloo, Iowa, the Globe Shoe Shop. Will and Ima and Edwin moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas in about 1937 where they owned and operated the Magic Shoe Rebuilders at 918 Garrison Avenue. Later, Will, Ima and Edwin built and operated the Paradise Motel at 4601 Rodgers Avenue in Fort Smith.
Ima
April 5, 1887 - September 20, 1961
Ima was the daughter of Pate and America Bandy Anderson.
Her mother died when she was young and she was raised by her maternal grandmother, Nancy LeGrand Bandy Speaks Mathes in Barry County, Missouri.
Ima married Will Marks on June 24, 1903 in Pierce City, Missouri. Ima and Will had two children, June and Edwin.
