Lucille "Lucy" Marie Lovett Liebling, 92, formerly of Charleston, AK, died Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus.
The Daughter of the late Bart and Eula Elkins Lovett, Mrs. Liebling was born November 5, 1918, in Booneville, MS.
She was a Graduate of Oklahoma State University at Stillwater, OK.
She earned a Master's Degree in Education from National Teachers' College in Evanston, IL.
She Retired after 30 years of Teaching and she was a Member of the Illinois Retired Teachers Association.
During her Retirement years, she was active in various Volunteer Services in Evanston and Charleston, AR, where she was a Member of the United Methodist Church.
Visitation, followed by a Funeral Service, will be at 10 a.m. today at Memorial Funeral Home in Columbus.
A second Visitation and Service, officiated by Rev. Benny Harmon, will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Putman Funeral Home in Fort Smith, AR.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith.
She is survived by her Son and Daughter In Law, Franklin B. and Tammy Woolbright Liebling of Steens; her Brother, Retired LTC Jack C. Lovett of Manchester; her Sister, Hazel Nicholson of Fort Smith, AR; one Granddaughter. Maryjane Lucille Liebling of Pittsburg, PA; and many Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; her Husband, Bernard Liebling; a Brother, Elkins Lovett; and two Sisters, Gladys McLarty and Beatrice Harris.
