Velma Jean Knox of Roland, OK died March 24, 2016.
She was born February 26, 1928 in Canyon, TX to Bascom Sherman Campbell and Norene Gray Campbell.
She grew up in Hugo, OK and married Lee Loftin. They had two daughters and moved to Fort Smith in 1956.

Jean served many years as financial secretary to First United Methodist Church in Fort Smith. She also worked at The wicker Place and Jeffrey Sand and Gravel. She was an active volunteer over the years with Girl Scouts, United Methodist Youth, Miss Laura's Visitor Center, Sparks Guild and Methodist Village Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Lee Loftin, brothers Robert Lee Campbell and Sherman L. Campbell, sisters Eva Graham, Eunice Merriman and Elsie Middleton and stepson Ted Knox.

Memorial service will be held at Roebuck Chapel in Fort Smith at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith.

She is survived by her husband Joe T. Knox, daughters Teri Fettes of Little Rock and Melissa Gatlin and husband of Springdale and grandsons Matthew Fettes, Christopher Fettes and wife Meredith, Lee Gatlin and Michael Gatlin. Additional survivors are daughters by marriage Becky Downey and husband Mike, Jennifer Zartman and husband Frank and Norma Molchan and husband Jay, daughter-in-law Tina Knox, fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren by marriage and her sisters Edith Backman and Margaret Cowley.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Builder's Sunday School Class.
