Magnolia, Feb. 26 - Mrs. Ellen Dees died at her home near Calhoun, Friday afternoon after a severe attack of pneumonia. She is survived by her husband and nine children, five boys, John, Phillip, Jap, Dan and Drew; four girls, Mrs. Sue Gunnels, Mrs. Martha Booth, Mrs. Ellen Robertson and Mrs. Mary Gunnels. Funeral and burial services were held at Antioch cemetery Saturday afternoon at 2:30. (Arkansas Democrat - February 26, 1923)
