November 15, 1893 - December 22, 1966
Edgar Walker Johns, 73 years old, Route 1 Box 179, Van Buren, Arkansas, was dead on arrival at Memorial hospital, Friday, December 23, 1966. He was born october 15, 1893 in Crawford county, Arkansas and was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a retired postal clerk and a member of the First Baptist Church in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Survivors are his wife, Nettie; one daughter; one brother; two sisters, Florence and Mattie; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dan Cameron, the officiating minister. Burial in Roselawn Cemetery was directed by Fentress mortuary.
Honorary pallbearers wer deacons of the First Baptist Church.
