Larry Holmes, 67, of Fort Smith, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 in a local hospital.
He was born September 18, 1942 in Iowa.
He was a veteran and a member of N.R.A.and an employee of St. Edward Mercy Medical Center.
Survivors include his loving wife Paulette of the home; sons; Brian Holmes of Waterloo, Iowa, Brad Holmes of Albuequerque, NM, Tim Holmes of Iowa and Keenen Polk and wife Angel of Fort Smith; daughter; Kyra Hansen and husband Kevin of Van Buren; mother; Margaret Blau of Iowa; mother and father in law; Ruby and Adley Riddle of Fort Smith; brothers; Gordon Holmes and wife Linda of Davenport, Iowa, Danny Holmes and wife Peggy of Davenport, Iowa; sisters; Ruthie Kelleher and husband Brian of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Gail Smith of Cass City, MI, Leslie Neimann and husband Darrel of Wisconsin and Carla Holmes of Davenport, Iowa; grandsons; Mason Polk of Fort Smith and Jessie Holmes of Iowa; grandaughters; Payton Robinson of Van Buren and Ashwyn Polk of Fort Smith.
Interment was at Roselawn Cemetery, Fort Smith officiated by Harry Powell.
Pallbearers will be Mason Polk, Buddy Elmore, Bill Bartlett, John Howard, Lloyd McFerran and David Springer.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of SEMMC plant facilities.

Paulette Holmes, 62, of Fort Smith, entered into rest on Friday, October 19, 2012 in her home.
She was born November 14, 1949 in Fort Smith, AR.
Paulette was a former employee of Pepsi-Cola and St. Edward Mercy Medical, a member of First Freewill Baptist Church Fort Smith and the widow of the late Larry Holmes.
Survivors include her son, Keenen Polk and wife Angel of Fort Smith, daughter, Kyra Hansen and husbandR Kevin of Van Buren, parents, Ruby and Junior Riddle of Fort Smith, Brothers Ronald Riddle an wife Rosetta of Springdale, AR and Roger Dale Riddle, three grandchildren, Ashwyn and Mason Polk, Payton Robinson.
Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2012 at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith with interment at Roselawn Cemetery, Fort Smith officiated by her grandson Mason Polk.
Pallbearers will be Paul Riddle, Denver Riddle, John Horne, Kevin Hansen, Johnny Wayne Jones and Johnny Miller.
