Mrs. Bertie Daniel Hardy, 82, of Fort Smith died Thursday evening.
She was born in Marietta, Okla., on Dec. 20, 1933, to Ira James and Ollie May (Carter) Daniel.

After marrying, she moved to Fort Smith in 1955, which has been home since. She was a loving and devoted mother and wife. Jack, her husband of 36 years, preceded her in death.

As a member of Central Presbyterian Church, she served faithfully as a deacon and was active in the Presbyterian Women’s Association.
She was an avid reader and creative person with interests in art, writing and sewing for her daughters.

She is survived by her son, Edward Hardy; daughters, Jo Hardy and Jane (Steve) Abell. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Justin and Jack Hardy of Van Buren and Stephen Abell of Little Rock.

Graveside service will be at Roselawn Cemetery at 10 a.m.
Tuesday under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
