Jack E. Grober, 85, of Fort Smith, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2009.
He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a BSBA degree and a Charter member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He was the President of Garrison Furniture Company, Board Member of the First American Savings and Loan Association, the Fort Smith Boys and Girls Clubs, Board member and Past President of the Fort Smith Public Schools, and he served on the City of Fort Smith Planning Commission. He was a Member and Elder of the First Presbyterian Church and he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Lucas and her husband Ed of Diamond City, AR., and Emily Long and her husband Pat of Peel, AR; one son, Jack E. Grober, Jr. of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Jennifer Bonham and her husband Kent of Harrison, AR., Steve Lucas of Oklahoma City, OK; and two great grandchildren, Kenley and Kailey Bonham of Harrison.
Private Family Graveside Service was held in Rose lawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
