June 30, 1894 - June 29, 1969
Mrs. Johnnie Miller, 74, of Norphlet died Sunday following a long illness. She was born May 30, 1894, in Denison, Tex. She had been a resident of Norphlet for the past 48 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donald Hicks, Norphlet and Mrs. Ralph Ladd of Smackover; one sister, Nora Lyons of Humble, Tex.; one grandchild. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Norphlet with the Rev. Henry Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. The family will be at the Donald Hicks residence in Norphlet. (El Dorado Times - June 30, 1969)
