Lucille B. Gibson, 94, of Fort Smith, entered into rest June 29, 2000, at her home in Fort Smith.
She was born Feb. 26, 1906, in Leonard, Texas, the daughter of the late Cecil and Mary (Applebee) Hunt.

Gibson was a homemaker and a member of Eastern Heights Baptist Church of Van Buren.

She was the widow of Lolis C. Gibson Sr. She is preceded in death by one son, Bob Gibson.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Lolis Jr. and Betty Gibson of Fort Smith; four grandchildren, Glenda Bauman of Fort Smith, Jan Sharp of Lavaca, Libby Elkins and Carol Fisher, both of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; 11 great-grandchildren, Bret, Matt and Scott Murry, Kristen Marvin, John A. Bauman, Kevin and Betsey Bricker, Kari Orcutt and Bridget, Emily and Sarah Estep; five great-great-grandchildren, Caylie and Summer Murry, Alexis Marvin, Caleb Orcutt and Ava Bricker.

Funeral service was 11 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2000, at Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith with the Reverend Joe Bagwell officiating.

Pallbearers were John C. and John Andrew Bauman, Dallas Sharp, Bret, Matt and Scott Murry and Lance Marvin.
