Hope Gillett, 76, of Leavenworth, died Monday, November 5, 2007, at Medicalodge of Leavenworth. She was born May 18, 1931, in Mauldin, Arkansas, the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Moseley) Williams.
She married Onace Long on December 16, 1950, he survives. She is also survived by her daughter and son- in-law, Janet and Rick Reichert of Lansing; her brother and sister-in-law, Ben and Laura Williams of Bentonville Ark; and a host of nieces and nephews. She later married Lee Roy Gillett, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by parents; her brothers, John, Jim, Joe, Jack, WC and Frank Jr., Williams; her sisters, Dorthia Wisner and Mary Harter.
Hope was a member of Byington Chapter #177, Order of the Eastern Star and the Jaywalkers Volksmarching Club. She enjoyed arts & crafts, knitting, crocheting, swimming, bowling, fishing, reading, and gardening.
She lived in Trona, California for over 15 years, where she enjoyed the beauty of the desert before moving to Ft. Smith where she met her husband Lee. After his death she moved to Leavenworth.
