Leon T. Gillian, 81, of Fort Smith died Tuesday, January 20, 2004, in Fort Smith. He was a retired superintendent and coach for the Omaha Arkansas Public School system, a member of Westark Church of Christ, the Belle Grove Lodge No. 410 in Clarksville, the Westark Consistory and Shriners of Fort Smith and Sebastian Retired Teachers, Association.
Funeral was held on Thursday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith with burial at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret.

Margaret Gillian, 88, of Fort Smith died March 10, 2012 in Fort Smith.
She was born July 5, 1923 in Mulberry to Jesse Mercer and Mamie Evelyn Adams Remy.
Margaret worked for Boeing Aircraft during World War II and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone.
She was a member of West Ark Church of Christ and a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She was known for her devotion to her family, and she was a very loving and special aunt.
She is survived by one niece, Phyllis Pendleton of Alma; seven nephews, Phillip Jackson of Mulberry, Jesse Lee Jackson of Mulberry, Tom Collett of Gold Hill, Ore., Paul Collett of Glendora, Calif., Craig Geneva of Coweta, Okla., Garrett "Chip" Geneva of Stilwell, Okla., and Clay Geneva of Stilwell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon T. Gillian, her parents, five sisters and three brothers.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 13 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Park Cemetery, all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Lee and Andy Jackson, Craig, Garrett "Chip" and Clay Geneva and Shaun Jackson.
