John B. Findlay, 7 of Fort Smith died Friday, May 29, 1992 in a local hospital.
He was a salesman for Birmingham Stove and Range Company, a member of the American Legion. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and past president of United Methodist Board of Missions- Fort Smith district. He was founder of Hartford Reunion and Scholarship Fund, past member of 85th Engineer Battalion, past Patron of Fort Smith Order of Eastern Star, recipient of Grand Cross of Colors with Rainbow and an Army veteran.

He was survived by his wife, Eva; one daughter, Nancy Robbins of Fort Smith; two sons, Lesley and Tom, both of Fort Smith; two sisters, Lenora George of Van Buren and Mary Jane Griffiths of Newton, Miss.; one brother, Joseph W. of Del City, Ok.; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Edwards Funeral Home with burial at Roselawn.

Eva L. Findlay, 101, of Fort Smith, passed away Friday, September 14, 2018.
She was born June 13, 1917 in Midland, AR to the late John and Blanche (Burnett) Whisenhunt.

She was an Alteration Lady for Sears. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Past Matron for the Fort Smith Chapter of the order of the Eastern Star.

Her husband John Findlay, son Tom Findlay, grandson Andrew Findlay, her sister Agnes Lee Bray and two brothers John Alfred Whisenhunt and Paul Haskell Whisenhunt preceded her in death.

Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Monday at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She is survived her daughter Nancy Loraine Robbins and husband Stan of Fort Smith, her son Lesley Findlay and wife Debbie of Greenwood, five grandchildren John Findlay, Carol Ballenger, Bandon Findlay, Josh Robbins and Molly Robbins and four great grandchildren.
