March 12, 1883 - February 28, 1942
George W. Fisher, 58 years old, 2009 North Thirteenth Street, former blacksmith at the old Fort Smith and Western railroad shops here, died at his home at 7:45 p. m., Wednesday night, after a nine months illness.
Mr. Fisher had been a resident of Fort Smith more than 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Fisher of the home; two sons Roy and George Jr., both of Fort Smith; three daughters. Mrs. Grace Rickman, Fort Smith, Mrs. Vernon Hartman, Mulberry, Ark., and Miss Virginia Fisher of the home; one sister, Mrs. W. M. Dillon, Fort Smith; one brother M. F. Fisher of Mena, Ark., and eight grandchildren.

October 4, 1887 - May 19, 1977
Mrs. Ella Fisher, 89, 192 Nelson Hall homes, died Thursday in a Fort Smith hospital.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs Mable Hartman, Mrs Grace Rickman and Mrs Virginia Cowling, all of Fort Smith; two sons, Roy of Fort Smith and George of Van Buren; 17 grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Edwards Chapel. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery.
Grandsons were active and honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Fisher was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
