Fred E. Snow Jr., 83, of Van Buren, formerly of Clarksville, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, in Van Buren. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Baptist Church in Clarksville. Survivors include his widow, Claudel Snow; two daughters, Theresa Snow of Riverside, Calif., and Cindy Young of Waldron; one sister, Lucy Park of Perryville; and four grandchildren. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Mrs. Claude L. Edwards Snow of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away November 21 at the age of 87. Born July 10, 1922 in Hartman, Arkansas, she was the former co-owner of both the Smith Mortuary and Wilbert Vault Company of Charleston, Arkansas.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Cindy Young (and husband Garry) of Waldron, Arkansas, and Theresa Snow of Riverside, California; 7 Grandchildren: Kevin and Karen Brown, Athena and Christie and Ray Edwards II, Morgan and Alexandra Young; 16 Great Grandchildren; and numerous good friends.

She was preceded in death by her 2 husbands: Fred E. Snow and M. L. "Bill" Edwards; and a son, Ray Edwards.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rusty Bushong officiating, with burial at Roselawn Cemetery of Fort Smith.

Pallbearers were Donnie and David Clay, Ray Chastain, Chris Brazil, Gary Woodard and Dean Young.
