Bertha Mae Therrell, age 88 of El Dorado, passed from this life on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Husdon Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center in El Dorado. Bertha was born on February 9, 1926 in Bradley County, AR to the late Fred Wooten and Neacie (Frisby) Wooten. Bertha worked as a LPN in the surgical unit at Warner Brown Hospital and Medical Center of South Arkansas, serving 35 years before her retirement. She was a member of First Church of God in El Dorado and formerly enjoyed going fishing. Bertha took great pride in keeping her home and yard always neat and clean. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend whom will be greatly missed by all.
Bertha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond Earl Therrell and by an infant brother, Deward Wooten.
Those left to cherish her memory include; one daughter, Judy Kyle and husband John of El dorado; one son, Larry Therrell of Little Rock; one granddaughter, Sharon Klippert and husband Wayne of Jacksonville, AR; one grandson, Jason Kyle and wife Chandra of El Dorado; four great grandchildren, Christopher Klippert and Matthew Klippert both of Jacksonville, Cada Bell and Brice Bell both Oklahoma; two sisters, Helen Williams of Moro Bay and Kathryn Dorsi of Merrit Island, FL.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm on Saturday at First Church of God in El Dorado.
Funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at First Church of God in El Dorado, with Bro. Dalyn Helbling and Bro. Nate Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Grove Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado. Pallbearers will be Jason Kyle, Gary Swilley, Terry Adams, Dr. Jim Seale, Coleman Brown JR and Jim Compton. Honorary pallbearers will be Felton Morgan, Carroll McGarity Jared Sweeney and C.L. Smith.
