Buriel Wooten, 93, of El Dorado passed away April 18, 2016 at Grace Point Nursing Home and Rehabilitation.

He was born February 24, 1923 to the late Sammy Wooten and Gertie Lum Wooten. He was a member of Green Grove Assembly of God of Strong. Buriel loved telling stories of the old days to everyone, mainly funny stories to keep people laughing.

Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife of 47 years, Juanita Murphy Wooten; one brother, Aubrey Wooten and one sister, Maxine Wooten.

Those left to cherish in his memory are his three daughters, Nelda Williams (Ralph) of Texarkana, AR, Diane Johnson (William) and Kathy Sneed (Terry) both of El Dorado. Three grand-children, Tommy Williams, Brandon Johnson (Jamie) and Billy Sneed ( Brooke). Three great grand children, Mitchell Johnson, Carolina and Charlotte Sneed and one sister, Irma Nell Taylor.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8pm, Tuesday April 19 at Perry’s Funeral Chapels.

Services will be at 2pm , Wednesday April 20, 2016 at Green Grove Assembly of God Church in Strong with Bro. Terry Burke and Thomas Wooten officiating.. Internment will follow at Green Grove Cemetery.
