W R "Dub" Douglas, 76 of Fort Smith, passed away in his home on Wednesday, August 20, 2008 in Fort Smith.
He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and a retired heating and air specialist. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #208 and a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. He loved roses and all aspects of nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walker and Lily Douglas, sister Josephine Flippin, brother Hoyt Douglas, and granddaughter Amanda Thomas.
Mass was Saturday, August 23, 2008 at St. Boniface Catholic Church with burial and military honors at Roselawn Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Jo Ella Douglas of the home; two daughters Julie McDevitt and her husband Gordon "Mac" McDevitt of Glenwood, Iowa and Mara Thomas and her husband Larry of Ozark; son W.R. "Doug" Douglas II and his wife Jennifer of Fort Smith; three granddaughters Megan McDevitt, Chandler and Taylor Douglas; and several nieces and nephews.
