FAYETTEVILLE - Barbara Ann Tomlinson passed away peacefully June 4, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark., surrounded by her children. She was 91 years old. Barbara was born Sept. 26, 1929, in the small town of Guion, Ark., in Izard County to Myrtle and Herbert Hall. She was the third of their seven children.

After graduating from high school she went on to study nursing at Arkansas College in Batesville where she met her husband of 52 years, Dempsey "Bud" Tomlinson.

Together they had four children and lived in six states, finally settling in Fayetteville, Ark., where they founded Tomlinson Asphalt Company.

Barbara was a nurse with a lifelong devotion to learning how to best care for others both inside and outside her home.

She is remembered for her enormous heart and unyielding support of her loved ones. She was her own worst critic, but it is well known she was beautiful, looked cute in everything she wore, kept a warm and tidy home, was a wonderful cook and had great hair.
