Don Byrum, of Benton, Arkansas lost his battle with Mylofibrosis on July 1, 2016 at Baptist Health in Little Rock. He was born to Rev. and Mrs. Wright Taylor Byrum, Jr. in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

He was a pharmacist, who formerly owned Town & Country Pharmacy (Byrum's Pharmacy) in Benton. He worked as a staff pharmacist at Baptist Health, Little Rock for the last 25 years of his professional career.

He was a graduate of Laura Conner High School in Augusta, AR. He was also an honor graduate in the 1961 Pharmacy School, Class at UAMS. He served in the U. S. Air Force at a Strategic Air Command Base in Columbus, OH. He worked in the USAF Hospital pharmacy during the mid-1950's.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Bartlett Byrum; a son Curtis Byrum (Sue) of Minneapolis, MN, and a daughter, Amy Golden (Bryan) of Little Rock; a brother, Rev. James Byrum of Carlisle; a sister, Sue Stewart of Lonoke; and five grandchildren, Jarrett Byrum (Roseanne) of Brooklyn, NY, Brett Golden (Claire) of Little Rock, Janie Byrum Jones (Dr. Drew) of Albuquerque, NM, Jordan Byrum of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, David Golden of Fayeteville; and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 9, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Benton in the Church Sanctuary. A time of visitation is scheduled before the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church.
