Martha Sue Jones Embry, 69, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2004. She was born on March 17, 1935 to the late James Olen and Jettie Rose Jones. She lived most of her life in Shreveport, Louisiana where she retired from Bell-South Telephone Company as Telephone Operator Supervisor.
She is survived by her loving husband Wilbur Ray "Buddy" Embry; three sons, Randy Embry and wife Lara of Shreveport, Louisiana, Bill Embry and wife Sharon of Niceville, Florida and Steve Embry and wife Bonnie of Bossier City, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Ryan Embry, Sarah and Michael Embry, Tiffany Melton and husband Joe, Kelsey Embry and Sarah Fannin and husband Joe; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Melton and Jordan Fannin; brother-in-law John "Deacon" Embry and wife Margaret of Shreveport, Louisiana. She also leaves behind many other cherished friends and family. Special gratitude to Michael Gentry and family for their love and support.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 14, 2004, 2 ;00 p. m. at Stanfill Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Arkansas, with Reverend Gene Davis and Reverend Billy Dobson officiating. Interment will follow at Stanfill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 6:00 8:00 P.M. at Stanfield Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Roller-Owens Funeral Home (501-791-7400) is in charge of arrangements.
