Carl Brown, 77 of Ft. Smith passed away Tuesday, May 01, 2018.
He was born in Corpus Christi, TX to the late Charles and Clara Brown.

He and his family moved to Ft. Smith in 1945 and has been here ever since. When he was a teenager he was very active in the Boy Scouts. He was a in the Air National Guard for six years, a member of the Arkansas Retired Military Association, and the Eagles Aerie #208. He was a Methodist and worked at Whirlpool for 33 years before his retirement. He was a lover of old cars and hot rods; he was always working on his cars and attending car shows in his spare time.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Donna Loy Brown, his step-son Keith King, and brother-in-law Cecil Hollis.

Carl is survived by two step-daughters; Kimberly Tinsley and her husband Ben of Van Buren and Karla Truett of Cedarville, two step-sons; Kenneth King of California and Kent King of Ft. Smith, two sisters; Jo Ann Owens and her husband Bill of Houston, TX and Helen Hollis of Houston, TX, his brother; Pat Brown and his wife Elisa of Ft. Smith and two step-grandchildren; Nicholas and Stephanie Tinsley.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. A reception will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the Eagles Club, 3321 S. 66th St. Ft. Smith.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Brown, Michael Brown, Patrick Brown, Austin Carter, Cody Turnipseed, and Nicholas Tinsley. Honorary pallbearer will be Ben Tinsley.

Donna "Peaches" King Brown 65, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2007 in Fort Smith. She was a Baptist, a member of the Eagles Auxiliary #208 and a former waitress for Ed Walker's Drive-in.

She is survived by her husband, Carl of the home; two daughters, Kim Tinsley of Van Buren and Karla Truett of Fort Smith; three sons, Kenneth King of Cedarville, Keith King of Fayetteville and Kent King of Fort Smith; two sisters, Shirley Butler of Mesquite, TX and Suzanne Brantley of Amarillo, TX; three brothers, Ronnie, Johnny and Gary Marshall, all of Amarillo, TX. She is also survived ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael and Jacob Brown, Jason and John Morris, Daniel Erwin and Scott Truett.
