December 17, 1901 - July 25, 1966
Hosea Newton Taylor, 64, a grocer of Junction City, died in a Shreveport hospital Monday. He was a native of Pike County, ark., the son of Thomas and Paralee Broadway Taylor. Mr. Taylor had lived in Junction City for the last 40 years. He was a Baptist. Survivors include three sons, Howard Taylor of Louisiana, Thomas Taylor of California and Herbert Eugene Taylor of Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Carolyn McMullen of West Virginia; a brother, Will Taylor of Delight; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Thompson of Junction City and Mrs. Blanche Dillon of Dallas; and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 10 10:30 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Junction City with the Rev. H. B. Fuller, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Pratt Funeral Home. (The El Dorado Times - July 26, 1966)
