February 18, 1872 - May 31, 1965
Mrs. Maggie Ozella Adams, 93, of Junction City died in a local hospital Monday afternoon. She was born in Holly Grove, Feb. 18, 1872, the daughter of Joseph W. and Lucy Wooley Jones. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Junction City. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. A. H. Wood of El Dorado, and Mrs. Caldwell Harris of Farmerville, La., three sons, Doneghey Adams of Junction City, Bennett Adams of Tacoma, Washington, and Durwood Jones of Junction City; two stepdaughters, Mrs. W. T. Ray Sr. and Mrs. E. B. Slaughter both of El Dorado; two stepsons, Alonzo Adams of El Dorado and Lester Adams of Little Rock; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Junction City. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City by Pratt Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Fred Ford, Franklin Walter, James Hightower, Donald Williams, H. J. Williams, R. L. Bolen, John Kelly and George Carroll. (The El Dorado Times - June 1, 1965)
