Mr. William "Bill" Meek, of Lavaca, Arkansas, died Friday, January 15, 2010,in a Fort Smith hospital. Mr. Meek was 66 years, 2 months and 3 days old. He was the son of the late Gerald Bragg and Sadie Kate McCoy Meek. Mr. Meek was the owner/operator of Meek Printing Company and a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Charleston, Arkansas.
Mr. Meeks was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother: Joe Earl Meek.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia Meek; two daughters: Debbie Farris, of Mountainburg, Arkansas, and Lisa Miner, of Greenwood, Arkansas; a son: David Meek, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two step-sons: Timothy Bufkin, of Van Buren, Arkansas and Tommy Bufkin, of Greenwood, Arkansas; 8 wonderful grandchildren; four precious great-grandchildren; other relatives; and many good friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday, January 18, 2010, at the Family Life Center(1st Baptist Church), Charleston, Arkansas. Mr. Meek was laid to rest at the Oak Valley Cemetery in Lavaca, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were: Paul Glover, Bill Ramage, Lymon Root, Andy Farrar, Bonner Weir, Dallas Meek.
