Thelma L. Gamble, 75 of Van Buren passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in her home.
She was a retired cook for the Van Buren School District, A lifelong resident of this area; a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Van Buren. She was a mother and grandmother to numerous children who came to her home. She loved sewing and she enjoyed arts & crafts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Agnes (Carter) Moore.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Oak Valley Cemetery in Lavaca under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Gamble of the home; three daughters, Pamela Smith & husband, Mike of Witcherville, Patricia Poole & husband, John of Van Buren, Pauline Conley of Van Buren; one sister, Ellen Bucella of Fort Smith; two uncles, Harvey Carter of Catoosa, OK, Tom Carter of Tulsa, OK; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Pallbearers will be Danny Cross, Roy Winton, Tony Bucella, Craig Squires, Johnny Burkhart, Earl Mann.
Honorary pallbearers will be kids that she helped raise.
