Barbara Sue Booth Washam, 70, of Junction City, AR, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. Barbara was born on December 10, 1951 in El Dorado to the late Eileen Alice Fautheree Booth and William Hugh Booth.
Barbara worked as the Special Education Secretary for Junction City Schools for 26 years, before her retirement in 2015. She was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church, and was a former volunteer EMT for Junction City Ambulance Service for almost 30 years. She was an avid Junction City Dragon Fan, and kept the score books for basketball games, for many years. She enjoyed making holiday wreaths, taking trips, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her high school sweetheart and husband, of 46 years, Randy Wayne Washam.
Survivors include; two sons, Kenneth Washam and wife Amy of Flower Mound, TX, and Jason Washam and wife Ashley of Vilonia, AR; one daughter, Sarah Washam Ochs and husband Jeff of Parkers Chapel; eight grandchildren, Katie and Luke Washam, both of Flower Mound, Cameron Washam, Myles Washam, Olivia Gilbert and Spencer Gilbert, all of Vilonia, Annabelle and Everly Ochs, both of Parkers Chapel; three sisters, Judy Mason and husband Danny of Hattiesburg, MS, Carolyn Enis and husband Paul of Junction City, and Nancy Haynes and husband Mike of West Monroe; a brother in law, Larry Washam and wife Kay; two sisters in law, Deborah Elliott and Becky Tedeton, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church near Lillie, LA, with Bro. Marty Black and Bro. Rich Murphy officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City, under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City, AR
