Alfred Lang, 59, of Route 5, Box 33B, El Dorado, died Tuesday in a Shreveport hospital after a long illness. Born May 22, 1913, in Nuremburg, Germany, he was the son of George and Phillipine Lepper Lang. He was a retired lumberman and a veteran of World War II. He was a member and deacon in the Granada Hills Baptist Church in California. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Zadie E. Lang, and two sons, Ronnie Lang and Richard Lang, all of El Dorado; a brother Eric Lang of Santa Monica, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Marta LeRosse, Brawley, Calif., Mrs. Lottie Snodgrass, Albbuquerque, New Mexico and Mrs. Jeanie Belkik, Hermesa Beach, Calif. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Young's. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Ainsworth officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. John Burton and the Rev. C. R. McCollum. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City under the direction of Young's The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to service time. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Olla Hall of Rt. 5, El Dorado. Pallbearers will be Rodney Jackson, David Johnson, Wayman Sandifer, Randy Cline, Melvin Cline and Terry Jackson. The family will be at the Olla Hall residence on Nick's Springs Road. (The El Dorado Times - December 28, 1972)
