Margaret Estell Carmical, 77, of Beebe died Monday, August 22, 2011. She was born July 4, 1934 in North Little Rock to the late Lloyd E. and Velma L. Brannon Covell. Mrs. Carmical graduated from Jacksonville High School and taught Special Education for several years in Missouri. She was later a home maker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Beebe. She was a loving and devoted military wife and mother, was politically active and was an advocate for research and treatment of autism.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Weldon Covell. Mrs. Carmical is survived by her husband, Vernon Carmical and her son, Marvin Carmical, both of Beebe, three sisters; Rozell Williford of Jacksonville, Pawnee Runions of Sherwood and Doris Sellers of Albuquerque, New Mexico as well as two brothers; Wandell Covell of Minden, Louisiana and Wayne Covell of North Little Rock.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the First Assembly of God Church in Beebe with burial to follow in Sumner Cemetery in Cabot.
