James Thomas Dampier, 86, passed away at
his home in Greenwood.
He was a retired truck driver and
a member and deacon of Crestview
Baptist Church in New Blaine.
Hi was preceded in death by his wife
Roberta.
He is survived by two sons; Jimmy
Dampier of Bloomer, Ark and Ruben
Dampier of Greenwood,Ark.,
Two daughters; Nancy Whittington,
of central City, Ark; Phyllis Ann
Howell of Georgia; two brothers,
Buck and Irvin Dampier, both of
Millersburg, Ky; four sisters;
Betty Stanfield & Ann Green, both
of Millersburg, Ky; Alma Grimes of
Flemingsburg, Ky; Brenda Tolson of
Carlisle, Ky;
13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren,
and t great great grandchildren.

Ms. Roberta "Bobbie" Dampier, of Milltown, Arkansas died June 5, 2011, at a Fort Smith hospital. Ms. Dampier was 79 years old. She was a homemaker and a member of Crestview Baptist Church in Midway, Arkansas.
Ms. Dampier was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband: James T. "Jim" Dampier; two sons: Jimmy H. Dampier of Bloomer, Arkansas, and Ruben A. Dampier, Sr. of Milltown, Arkansas; two daughters: Nancy J. Whittington of Central City, Arkansas, and Phyllis A. Howell of Cleveland, Mississippi; one sister: Patsy Brackman of Avon Park, Florida; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; other relatives; and many dear friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, Arkansas.
Ms. Dampier was laid to rest at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were: Robie Dampier, Sebastian Dampier, Gary Whittington, Jr., Ruben Dampier, Jr., Grady Smithson and Brandon Hannick.
Honorary pallbearers were: Collin Moore, Justin Hale, Daniel Whittington and Joshua Dampier.
