John T. Canada, 76, Greenwood, AR., died Oct. 19, 1990 at his home. He was a retired Landscaper, veteran of WW II and a member and deacon of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church.
Services were in McConnell Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Dawson Cemetery, Milltown, AR.
He is survived by his wife, Lavada; four daughters, Juanita Denton, Ft.Smith, Mary Payne, Konawa, OK, Delores Kaylor and Joy Pyle, both of Greenwood; five sons, John E. Canada, Charles Canada, Elmer Canada, Merel Canada, Granville Canada all of Greenwood; 25 Grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; four sisters, Edith Hodge and Hattie Otwell of Greenwood, Loretta Dillard, Houston, and Margie Garner, Van Buren; AR; three brothers, Granville Welker, of CA, and George and Bob King, both of Ft. Smith.

Margaret Lavada Canada,89, of Greenwood died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in Greenwood, She was a homemaker, a member of Greenwood First Baptist Church, a past member of Mount Harmony Baptist Church and the widow of John Canada.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at Greenwood, First Baptist Church with burial at Dawson Cemetery in Milltown, AR. Under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.

She is survived by four daughters, Delores Lovell of Greenwood, Juanita Denton, and Joy Monasco, both of Ft. Smith, and Mary Payne of Konawa, OK.; five sons, John and Grandville, Canada both of Ft. Smith, Charles, Merel and Elmer Canada all of Greenwood; two sisters Estelee Bull and Omega Collins, both of Ft. Smith; 25 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
