Willie Mae Aycock age 86 of Junction City passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Heritage Nursing Center in Haynesville, LA. Willie Mae was born on November 22, 1932 in Mt. Holly, AR to the late Claire Belle Kinder Smalling and John David Smalling. She was a 1950 graduate of Smackover High School, where she played basketball and was a cheerleader. She worked as the elementary school secretary for Junction City Schools, serving twenty plus years before her retirement. She was a longtime and devoted member of Junction City Church of Christ, where she served in many capacities over the years. She was a true Christian lady, whom set a christian example for us all to follow. She enjoyed crocheting, working jigsaw puzzles, canning fresh vegetables and cooking for her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whom will be truly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Louise Manor and Darline Gray; one brother, Wade Hampton Smalling, and one great grandson, Mason Reid Sehon.
Survivors include; her husband of almost 63 years, A.B. Aycock of Junction City; three children, Gail Sehon and husband Ronnie of Junction City, Stephen "Stevie" Aycock and wife Karla of Summerfield, LA, and Janet Grace Hux and husband Brian of Junction City; five grandchildren, Kevin Sehon and wife Katey of Junction City, Chay Hux and wife Betsy of Junction City, Raley Aycock of Summerfield, Beau Hux of Junction City, and Mallary Aycock of Summerfield; five great grandchildren, Harley Revell-Hux, Presley Revell-Hux, Zachary Sehon, Kamdon Sehon, and Rowan Aycock; one brother, Mike Smalling of Eureka Springs, AR along with a host of friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Bailey Funeral Home in Junction City.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Bailey Funeral Home Chapel in Junction City with Don Ossman officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City. The family will be at the home of Ronnie and Gail Sehon, 501 Adams in Junction City, AR
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Junction City Church of Christ.
