He was an employee of Belle Point Ranch. He was preceded in death by one son, Eddie Sampson. He is survived by his wife, Mona of the home; two daughters, Anna Marie Temps and Candis Sampson; five sons, Billy Dean Sampson, David Wayne Sampson, Franklin Neal Sampson, Gary Don Meyers and Heath Edward Meyers; three sisters, Edna Peterson, Maye Mutlon, and Bernice Shaffer; five brothers, Art Meyers, Lyle Meyers, Glen Meyers, Aaron Meyers and Carl Meyers; eighteen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Anthony Wood, David McMahon Jr., David McGhee, Marvin Holland, Philip Chastain and Steve Furr.

Mona Mae Meyers, 76, of Charleston, AR. entered into rest on Monday, January 20, 2014 in Fort Smith, AR.
She was born December 24, 1937 in LeMars, Iowa.
She was of the Baptist faith and retired employee of Planters Peanuts.
She is survived by 5 sons Billy Dean Samson of Locksburg, AR., David Wayne Samson of Woodward, OK., Franklin Neal Samson of Nebraska, Gary Don Meyers of Lavaca, AR. and Heath Edward Meyers of Greenwood, AR., 2 daughters Anna Marie McDonald of Kansas City, MO. and Candis Kay Priester of Woodland, KS., 1 brother Tommy Edwards of Branch, AR., 3 sisters Sandra Poor of Charleston, AR., Madge Neissl of Walla Walla, WA. And Jean Ann Weaver of Lavaca, AR., 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Lavaca, AR. with interment at Hickory Ridge Cemetery in Lavaca, AR.
Pallbearers will be Danny Birch, Steve Furr, David Rietman, Dustin Nina, Chad Pinick and Michael Glover. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Lavaca, AR.
