Funeral Services for Danny Joe George, 65, of Sterlington, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Paron Baptist Church in Sterlington with Mr. JR Wells and Rev. Kurt Auger officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City, Arkansas under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.Mr. George was born November 29, 1950 and passed away March 17, 2016. He was a member of Paron Baptist Church and was a retired game warden with the State of Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Department. Mr. George was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Josie George. Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Wells George; daughter, Katy George Balsamo and husband Darren; grandchildren, Shelby, Carter, Paxton and Andrew Balsamo; sisters, Sue Holland and husband James, Marie Leake and husband Glen and Rexine Cardin and husband Larry; brothers, Malcolm George and wife Nancy and Jimmy George and wife Jennifer. And numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Mike Rockett, Johnny Sweet, Ronnie Hall, Gary McGoogan, Jim Hall, William Dean, Tim Wood and Will Billberry.Honorary Pallbearers will be Brad Smith, Brody Telford, Edwin Davis, Ronnie Jones, Ronnie Anderson, Donnie Anderson and Bob Lane. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Paron Baptist Church in Sterlington, LA. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at St. Francis SICU and 7th floor Rehab.
