Faye Nelson Rockett, 95, of Lillie, LA passed away Wednesday, October 28,2020 at the Medical Center of South AR in El Dorado, AR.
Faye was born April 22, 1925 in Lillie, LA to the union of Clarence Wesson Nelson and Dora McDougle Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, John Daniel Rockett, one brother, C.W. Nelson, one sister, Esther Nelson and a grandson, Jeremy Scott Bottoms.
Faye was a longtime resident of Lillie, LA and a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She was an amazing artist with her paintings on display all over the south, she was highly creative and could make art out of literally anything. She donated so much of her time, money and talents doing things for others. She was always volunteering or helping someone out in some way.
Survivors include her daughter, Janis Bottoms and husband Farland of Highlands Ranch, CO, one son, Daniel Rockett of Lillie, LA, five grandchildren, Bart Rockett and wife Corrin of Hollywood, CA, Chad Rockett and wife Stephanie of Bryant, AR, Brady Bottoms of Aurora, CO, Mathew Bottoms and wife Jessica of Anthem, AZ, and Kyle Rockett and wife Layne of Lowell, AR, seven great grandchildren, Kadan Rockett, Brooklyn Rockett, Brooks Rockett, Braden Rockett, Norah Rockett, Bradley Bottoms and Weston Bottoms.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 1, 2020, 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church in Lillie, LA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Ainsworth officiating. Interment will be in the Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Junction City, AR.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
