Jessie Lee (Harrison) Hicks, age 93 of El Dorado, passed from this life on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at the Medical Center of South Arkansas. She was born on February 6, 1921 in Union, Mississippi to the late Frank Leonard Harrison and Sallie Morehead Harrison. Jessie was a retired nurse's aid, serving numerous years working for Union Medical Center and Magnolia Hospital before her retirement. She was a member of Parkers Chapel First Baptist Church and was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister and Friend, whom will be greatly missed by all.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delton Hicks; grandson, Jeffrey Lee Fallin; four brothers and three sisters.
Those left to cherish her memory include; one son, Johnny Hicks of Magnolia; three daughters, Wanell Fallin of El Dorado, Diane Hendricks of El Dorado and Rita Hicks of Magnolia; seven grandchildren, Mike Fallin, Cheryl Patterson, Todd Hendricks, Sonya Brown, Melanie Hicks Fuhrman, Melissa Hicks Wittman and Jeremy Reddin; thirteen great grandchildren; one sister, Doxie Creel of Philadelphia, Mississippi and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Monday, July 28, 2014 at Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am on Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Bailey Chapel with Bro. Wes Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado.
In lieu of food and flowers, memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
