Wife of Alfred McLoud Sicard
Lucy "Tachy" Sicard of Fort Smith, Arkansas died Sunday, November 27, 2005, at her home. She was born September 28, 1916, to Samuel Birnie Harper and Lucy Vick Harper. Lucy was a graduate of Fort Smith High School and attended Sophie Newcomb College in New Orleans. She was a volunteer for the Rosalie Tilles Home, the Red Cross Grey Ladies, a member of Christ the King Cathilic Church, St Edwars's Auxiliary Hardscrabble Country Club and Hardscrabble Ladies Golf Association. "Tachy" was the Hardscrabble ladies golf champlion many times and traaveled extensively pursing her love of fishing.
Lucy is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, McLoud Sicard; also her brother Samuel Birnie Harper Jr., son Alfred Harper Sicard and granddaughter Caroline Sicard.
She is survived by one daughter Lucy and her husband, William; one son and his wife; six grandsons; four granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial Mass was held at 11 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
