Eurville E. Baker, 54, of 1216 Harold Ellen St., died in a local hospital Thursday afternoon following a brief illness. He was born Feb. 8, 1916, in Junction City, and was a member of the Second Baptist Church. He was a lifelong resident of Union County and was a retired construction foreman for Arkansas Power and Light Co. Mr. Baker was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 13. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mildred Flurry Baker, El Dorado; a son, James B. Baker, Starksville, Miss.; a daughter, Mrs. Judy Hewett, Camp Lejune, N.C.; his mother Mrs. Lillie Perry Baker, Houston, Tex; six brothers, Claude Baker, Ellis Baker and Vernon Baker, all of El Dorado, Milford Baker, California, Donald Baker and Arnold Baker, both of Houston, Tex.; three sisters, Mrs. Marie Cramer and Mrs. Corene McDade, both of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Aline Smith, Palmdale, Calif., and one grandson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Second Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Bray and the Rev. Ray Flurry officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. (El Dorado Times - January 9, 1970)
