Funeral Services honoring the life of Mary Linda Long will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 26, 2022, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 275 Southfield Road, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Father Matt Woollett. A visitation will be held prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. at St. Paul's, with a reception following the service. A private burial will take place at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in El Dorado, Arkansas.

Linda was born March 6, 1943, in Smackover, Arkansas to Homer and Opal Howard and passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 22, 2022, in Minden, Louisiana.

Linda worked as an accountant for the City of Shreveport, loved gardening and was a very active participant with her church family at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend and her presence will be dearly missed by all those who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Opal Howard and brother, Edwin Howard. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Stephen Long and wife, Tina; daughter, Lindsey Free; her grandson, Jonathan Free; brother, John Howard and sister, Jo Parrish.

The family suggests memorials be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 275 Southfield Rd., Shreveport, LA 71105.
