Mr Lavene G Ransom, 81
Lavene G. Ransom, 81, passed away Feb. 10, 2011, in Plano, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Pleasant Plains Church of Christ in Pleasant Plains, Ark. Family visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 15, from 5-7 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home of Bald Knob, Ark.
Mr. Ransom was born on July 25, 1929, in Denmark, Ark. to Ira Boyd Ransom and Jennie Bell Millikin. He was married to Eduth Mae Clark in December, 1952. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956. They moved to Texas in 1957 and he spent his career in the banking business. He loved fishing, hunting, traveling, and being around people. He became a Christian in 1999 and was a member of Spring Creek Church of Christ in Plano, Texas.
Mr. Ransom was predeceased by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers. He is survived by his wife, Eduth Mae; daughter, Paula Kay Kendall; and son-in-law, Michael Kendall of Plano, Texas, and 15 nieces and nephews.
