Bryan R. Orrell, 74, of Conway, AR, went to be with the Lord January 17, 2023. He was born November 13, 1948 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the late Rene and Jean (Blizzard) Orrell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janice Orrell of Conway, Arkansas and his sister, Jeannie Orrell of California.

Bryan was a faithful member of The Church Alive in Conway for many years. He was a life long student of the Word of God and devoted his life to the Lord. Bryan enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was loved very much by his family, who will dearly miss his kind heart and loving smile.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving family; daughter, Angela Ansel (Marc); 4 grandchildren, Zachariah (Mary Elizabeth), Aaron (Katie), Caleb (Ashley) and Carissa Ansel; great-grandchildren, Hezekiah and Gideon and brother, Douglas Orrell.

Bryan's last 9 months have been spent at Superior Health & Rehabilitation. He made many great friends there. He enjoyed the planned activities and was a frequent winner at bingo. Bryan was elected by his peers to the Resident Council.

His family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to Superior Health & Rehab and Gentiva Hospice. The staff have all been wonderful and we are so appreciative for the truly superior care they have given to his physical and mental well being. They have become family through this time.

The family would also like to a recognize a few who were key to his productive and happy time at Superior. Wilma, thank you for being his first contact and bringing such cheer and excitement to him when he first moved in. It was that positivity that helped set the tone for his time at Superior. You know he loved you and all the crafts you'd help him make for his room. Bonnie, who allowed him to spend countless hours in her office. We all know Bonnie was his favorite. She could get him out of bed when no one else could. Thank you for going the extra mile to care for dad. Bonnie always made him feel like he was helping and assisting. Gloria, so much I could say. I'll use dads words "Gloria knows best." Gloria always brought calm and a sense of security to him. Ryan, whose ability to discern what was coming in his health journey and advocated quickly for his needs. He knew you loved him and he loved you. It's evident to all that nursing is a calling for you. I remember the day he called and asked me to pray for you. The care you had for him was matched by his care for you.

A memorial service will be held at The Church Alive, 1205 Skyline Dr., Conway, Arkansas on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Church Alive, P.O. Box 1083, Conway, AR 72033, www.thechurchalive.org
