Helen Louise Payne Malpica, 93, of Conway, passed away Saturday, June 26, 2010.

She was born July 25, 1916 in Quitman to the late William Bennett Payne and Hattie Allison Payne.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Malpica; sisters, Florence Payne and Minnie Payne Harrell; and brothers, Willie Payne and Hugh Payne.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She was a graduate of Central College for Women in Conway, a 55 year member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, a member of the 20th Century Club, Chapter E. P.E.O., volunteer at Arkansas Children's Colony and a Cub Scout leader.

She is survived by her children, Larry P. Malpica and wife Hilda of Conway; Mary M. Edwards and husband Ron of Conway; grandchildren, Lauren Malpica Horton of Fayetteville, Susan McKinney Owens of Russellville, Allison Malpica Holton of Atlanta, GA, Lee McKinney Moore of Crosby, TX and Sarah Catherine Malpica Erstine of Memphis, TN and 17 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Conway with Vicar Terri Dailey officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Fred and Louise Malpica Scholarship Fund at the University of Central Arkansas, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, or Hospice Homecare of Arkansas.

Arrangements are by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
