Elsa Raye Phillips Cason passed away July 14, 2014 at Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett, AR. She was born May 7, 1926 in Fountain Hill, AR to her parents, Ray R. and Ora E. Hester Phillips.

She graduated from Fountain Hill High School and Draughon's School of Business in Little Rock. She worked for Arkansas Automobile Association several years. Mrs. Cason worked as a legal secretary in Phoenix, AZ, before returning to Fountain Hill.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Fountain Hill for approximately 40 years and was the pianist there and for the Sunday School Class at the Pillars.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Velton W. Cason and a brother, Millard E. Phillips.

She is survived by two brothers, one sister, a sister-in-law, four step-sons and seven nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Fountain Hill First Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Elton officiating. Interment will follow at Flat Creek Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, AR.

Visitation will be Thursday, one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the church.
