Opal Irene McAnulty, 89, of Camden passed away Saturday, February 9th, 2013 at Ouachita County Medical Center. She was born on September 29, 1923 to Dee W. and Frances O. Reed Hollis in Eaglette, AR.

She was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church of Camden for more than 60 years. She was a homemaker, loving wife of 73 years, mother of 7 and an active member of our community. As her children grew older she worked part time in the cafeteria at Fairview Public School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dee W. and Frances O. Hollis; her husband, Marvin R. McAnulty; brothers Charlie E. Hollis, J. D. Hollis, Edward Shipp and Roy R. Massey; sisters Evelyn Parsons and Rose Adams; a son Charlie R. McAnulty; a daughter, Mary F. Smith; a granddaughter Cynthia D. Whitter and a great-grandson, Joshua Hust.

She is survived by four daughters, Shirley White (Fred), Linda McCarther (Larry), Nancy Massey (David), Jackie Bell (Bob); a son, Marvin R. McAnulty, Jr.; a son-in-law, Gary Smith; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Henry Massey and Leonard Massey, 2 sisters Marie Cornelius and Nell Mays and many relatives and friends.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Proctor Funeral Home followed by interment at Bethesda Cemetery.
