Alice Leonette Sommers, 81, of Camden, died Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Greenbrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenbrier. Mrs. Sommers was born June 29, 1930 in Camden, the daughter of Roy and Ila Allen Jeffus. She was homemaker and member of Fairview Road Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry L. Sommers; daughters, Kathy Godwin and Gale Trice; infant son, Terry; and brothers, Morris Jeffus and Clifton Jeffus.
Survivors include her daughters, Donna Powell and husband, Ronny of Clinton, AR, Nina Ingram and husband, Rusty of Camden, AR, and Karen Oliver and husband, Tony of Hampton, AR; brother, James Jeffus of Camden, AR; grandchildren, Brian Powell and wife, Melissa of Lynn, AR, Kristy Carroll and husband, Barry of Clinton, AR, Jamie Ward and husband, Steve of Greenbrier, AR, Casey Wooldridge of Camden, AR, Kelly Ingram of Bryant, AR, Kayla Smith and husband Nick of Sheridan, AR, Leslie Douglas and husband, Wesley of Genoa, AR, Sherri Connelly of Camden, AR, Colton Oliver of Honolulu, HI, Andréa Oliver of Hampton, AR, Daniel Godwin of Russellville, AR, Mathew Godwin Chidester, AR; and ten great grandchildren.
Graveside services for Mrs. Sommers will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 16, 2012 at Bethesda Cemetery in Camden. Proctor Funeral Home of Camden is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
