December 2, 1941 - March 6, 2017
Jean Treadaway was born in Lake Village, Arkansas on December 2, 1941. She entered Heaven’s gates on March 6, 2017. A kind-hearted wife, mother, daughter and friend, she loved her family, church families, and friends. She had way of lifting you up and was easy to talk to. Jean enjoyed planning and cooking meals for everyone. She loved pouring over cookbooks and watching food channels. She also loved playing the piano which she did for many Cumberland Presbyterian churches.
Jean had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of the Sulphur Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Louann, Arkansas.
Jean was pre-deceased by her parents, Rev. Thomas N. Ray, in 1991 and Marcell Doss Ray, in 2015. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Rev. Kenneth Treadaway. She is also survived by her children, Tammy (Eric) Hagelberg, Mark Treadaway, and Angie (J.P.) Benefiel. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Brooke (Ryan) Wilson, Tyler Treadaway, Lindsey (Karl) Talmo, Jill (Nathan) Ragan, Kelly Hagelberg, Jake Benefiel, and Sam Benefiel. She is survived by three great-grandchildren, Maddox Wilson, Finn Wilson, and Charlee Ragan. Jean is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Jerry (Linda) Ray, Brenda (Gary) Grimes and Sissy (Mike) Burke.
Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Proctor Funeral Home with Doug Rhodes and Jerry Ray officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery. Memorial may be made to Christus St. Michael Foundation, 21600 St. Michael Dr., Texarkana, TX 75503
